Terms & Conditions

By downloading, installing, or using FlatFund, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

FlatFund is an apartment management platform that enables:

• Monthly maintenance billing and payment tracking
• Water meter reading and billing
• Apartment expense management
• Resident onboarding and flatmate invitations
• Community directory and push notifications
• Offline access to billing history via on-device cache

FlatFund has three roles:

You are responsible for using your account only for your assigned role. Attempting to access data outside your role is prohibited.

• Registration requires a valid email address and an apartment invitation from an admin
• You are responsible for keeping your account secure
• You must not share your OTP or session token with anyone
• You must notify us immediately at team.nulltheory@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access
• Biometric app lock (if enabled) is a device-level security feature — you are responsible for maintaining the security of your device

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app
• Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the API
• Impersonate another resident or admin
• Submit false billing or payment information
• Attempt to bypass the Play Integrity verification or any other security mechanism
• Interfere with the service availability for other users
• Attempt to access another resident's personal data through the app

The app requests the following device permissions to function:

• Camera — for uploading your profile photo
• Notifications — for receiving payment reminders and community updates
• Storage / Gallery (Android ≤ 12) — for selecting a profile photo from your gallery
• Network state — to check connectivity before making API calls

Apartment admins are responsible for:

• Accurately entering maintenance and water billing amounts
• Inviting only legitimate residents
• Managing resident access (removing users who have moved out)
• Ensuring the UPI details displayed are accurate

• Access to FlatFund features is subject to an active subscription for the apartment
• Subscriptions are managed at the apartment level by the admin
• During a grace period (14 days after subscription expiry), read access is maintained but write operations are restricted
• After the grace period, write access is suspended until the subscription is renewed
• Null Theory reserves the right to modify subscription pricing with reasonable notice

FlatFund integrates the following third-party services. By using the app you also agree to their respective terms:

• Firebase (Google) — push notifications, anonymous analytics, crash reporting
• Google Play Integrity API — app authenticity verification
• Google Play In-App Updates — automatic app update delivery
• Resend — transactional email delivery

All content, design, code, and branding within FlatFund is the property of Null Theory. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works without explicit written permission.

• FlatFund is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind
• We do not guarantee 100% uptime but aim to maintain service reliability
• We are not responsible for financial decisions made based on data displayed in the app
• We are not a financial services provider — billing records are informational only
• Offline data displayed from the local cache may not reflect the latest server state

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Null Theory shall not be liable for:

• Loss of data due to user error, device failure, or app uninstall
• Billing disputes between residents and apartment management
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:

• Violate these Terms
• Are reported for misuse by an apartment admin
• Have been inactive for an extended period

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Significant changes will be communicated via in-app notification.
